Soko Terms of Use

Welcome to Soko. These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Soko website and mobile applications (collectively, the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Soko operates as a marketplace platform where users can list items for auction or fixed-price sale, and other users can bid on or purchase those items. We facilitate connections between buyers and sellers but do not participate in the actual transactions.

You must be at least the age of majority in your jurisdiction and capable of entering into a binding agreement to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements.

Soko is a listings platform. We do not act as the buyer, seller, payment processor, shipping carrier, or agent for users. We do not guarantee the existence, quality, safety, legality, or delivery of items listed by users.

• We are not responsible for the actions or omissions of users
• We do not verify the identity, credentials, or representations of users
• We do not guarantee that transactions will be completed

• Users are solely responsible for the accuracy and legality of their listings.
• Sellers must own or have authority to sell the items they list.
• Meet in safe, public places and inspect items prior to payment.
• Keep records of your communications and receipts as needed.
• Disputes between buyers and sellers must be resolved directly between the parties.
• Soko reserves the right to remove listings that violate these Terms.

• Bids are commitments. Do not bid unless you intend to complete the transaction.
• Some listings may provide proxy bidding or a "Buy Now" option at the seller's discretion.
• Soko may limit, pause, or remove listings or bids to protect users and the integrity of the platform.
• Winning bidders are expected to complete the transaction with the seller.
• Sham bidding, bid manipulation, or other fraudulent bidding practices are prohibited.
• Sellers cannot bid on their own items or have others bid on their behalf.

• Illegal items: Stolen goods, weapons, drugs, counterfeit items, or anything prohibited by law.
• Regulated items: Items requiring special licenses or permits unless properly documented.
• Harmful content: Hateful, discriminatory, threatening, or explicit content.
• Misrepresentation: False, misleading, or deceptive listings or information.
• Harassment: Threatening, harassing, or impersonating other users.
• System abuse: Attempting to circumvent security measures or manipulate the platform.
• Spam: Excessive messaging, duplicate listings, or irrelevant content.
• Privacy violations: Posting personal information of others without consent.

You retain ownership of your content. You grant Soko a non‑exclusive, worldwide, royalty‑free license to host, store, display, and reproduce your content solely to operate and improve the Service. You represent that you have the rights to post such content.

• You are solely responsible for the content you post.
• You must have all necessary rights to use and license the content.
• You cannot post content that infringes on others' intellectual property rights.
• Soko may use your content for promotional purposes related to the Service.
• You can delete your content, but copies may remain in backups for a reasonable period.

You may report violations using the in‑product reporting tools or by contacting support. Soko may remove content, restrict accounts, or take other appropriate action in response to violations of these Terms or applicable law.

• Report suspicious activity, prohibited content, or Terms violations promptly.
• Provide detailed information when reporting issues.
• Do not make false or malicious reports.
• Soko reserves the right to investigate and take action on reports.
